A video platform at the heart of regional news
The needs
Canal Alpha wanted to modernize its digital presence by offering a smooth and consistent experience on the web and on mobile. The goal was to make all of its video content easily accessible, highlight regional news, and allow users to follow live channels wherever they are.
Beyond watching programmes, the platform needed to offer powerful catalogue search, a dynamic homepage showcasing the latest news, and a mobile app capable of accompanying users day to day through personalized notifications.
Our approach
We designed a complete digital ecosystem bringing together a modern website and a mobile app, both built to deliver a fast, intuitive viewing experience suited to today's habits.
The website, developed with Laravel and React/Next.js, lets users browse the entire video catalogue, access the latest news from an editorial homepage, search content, and watch Canal Alpha channels live directly in the browser.
In addition, we developed a React Native mobile app that brings all essential features into an interface optimized for smartphones. Users can follow live broadcasts from the Neuchâtel and Yverdon district editions, find reports and programmes at any time, and receive a nightly notification presenting the main local news.
Through this unified platform, Canal Alpha strengthens its connection with its audience and provides simple, fast, and continuous access to regional information, regardless of the device used.
